OSX RSS Reader Widget for GigaOm

Last weekend I was doing a little Powerbook hacking and ran across a story by Om Malik requesting a Mac OS X Dashboard Widget for his blog. To learn how Widgets worked, I threw together a simple RSS reader Widget based on Apple's sample code and mailed it to him. His response was enthusiastic and of course gracious. Several days later, I was browsing Apple's website when I happened to run across the GigaOm Widget posted under the "Just Added" section! Now I wish I had spent some more time and done a better job with it! Thanks to Om for posting my code and getting some distribution! Congratulations on a cutting edge site with great content.

could i possibly use this widget to pull RSS from a different blog / board?

Yes, you could use it for any blog, but there is no front-end for picking the rss feed. (perhapse I should enable that) At the moment you have to sift through the code and set the URL. Just grep for "gigaom" in the source and change it. Should be only set in one place.
